PROFILE

Geoff Yates
I am a Golf Coach attached to Lutterworth G.C in Leicestershire.  I qualified some time ago with the WGTF when I also gained my ASET certification and my Child Protection Certification. I also have been CRB checked.  Apart from my work with professionals and low handicap golfers I enjoy working with complete beginners.  It is very rewarding seeing them improve and gain a love of the game.  Equally rewarding is working with senior golfers (being one myself) who may not be as supple as they once were and struggle to swing in a so called "conventional manner".  I help them enjoy their game using the attributes they have and not the ones they don't.  I am very involved with the junior golf at Lutterworth and schools in the area and I hold the position of Golf Coach at Lichfield Cathedral School.  Over the last few years I became increasingly interested in NLP and the effect the mind has in golf, culminating in me becoming a Certified Mind Factor Coach with Dr.Karl Morris the well known and respected Sports Psychologist who works with many tour players as well as professionals in other sports.  This is now my specialist area although I still spend many a happy hour working on the mechanics of the swing.
